Troop History

Deployed from Fort Knox and attached to the 17th Aviation Group, Pleiku, October 28, 1967 to April 18, 1972. Squadron Headquarters moved to Dak To in March 1968, Qui Nhon in March 1971, and An Son in November 1971.


The original Troop C "Blue Ghost" assets were used to raise Troop F "Blue Ghost", 8th Cav,  April 1, 1968. "Blue Ghost" departed Vietnam, February 26, 1973. 

Troop C (replacement) was raised from assets of Troop C, 2/17th Cav, Fort Campbell, KY,  May 1, 1968 and assigned July 15, 1968.

Troop C assets used to raise Troop H, 10th Cav as of April 30, 1972. Troop H departed Vietnam February 26, 1973.
